LUIS FIGUEROA

A cover video changed the room around Luis Figueroa. After years of singing at family gatherings, trying American Idol at 16, studying at Berklee College of Music, and working as a backing singer for Romeo Santos, he was in Spain when Marc Anthony called. Anthony had watched Figueroa’s YouTube version of Flor pálida with his family. The call led to a deal with Magnus Media, the company tied to Anthony’s team. Figueroa later performed Flor pálida with Anthony on Premios Juventud and won the show’s award for best cover video for that version.
