Leaving Guaco for Salsa
After eleven years with Guaco, Ronald Borjas chose the uncertainty of a solo career. He left the group in 2014 and directed his own work toward salsa, separating it clearly from the music he had made with the band. The break did not erase that shared history. Years later, Borjas still kept Pídeme, Eres más, Lo eres todo, Vivo and Me muero de ganas in his concerts because audiences continued asking for them.
From University to Guaco
Ronald Borjas was still in his university years when music became his profession. In 2002, the Maracaibo singer joined Guaco, a group he had admired before standing at its microphone. Borjas developed there as both a vocalist and songwriter. His tenure lasted eleven years, placing his voice inside one of Venezuela's most recognized popular-music groups.
