Daniela Darcourt was born in Lima’s La Victoria district on April 20, 1996, and her path into music started long before her solo name was on marquees. Public biographies describe her as a singer, composer, dancer, actress, and one of Peru’s most visible contemporary salsa voices. Her early years were built through talent contests and stage work. She appeared in singing competitions as a child, later reached the semifinal stage of Perú tiene talento at 17, and joined the women’s salsa orchestra Son Tentación in 2016. That experience gave her two years in a professional salsa setting before she left to build a solo career. By the time she stepped out under her own name in 2018, Darcourt already had the habits of a working performer. The TV stages, orchestra years, and Lima salsa circuit gave her a base before her first solo recordings reached a national audience.
